When is Rock on the River (ROTR)?

ROTR will take place October 1,2 2021
Gates will open Friday at 5:00 pm and Saturday at 5:00 pm
We shut it down at approximately 1:30am.
Clean up starts bright and early on Sunday (or whatever time we get up) The more the merrier!

Is this an all ages event?

Yes! (with the exception of the VIP area, which is age of majority – 19+).

*You will need government-issued photo ID to purchase alcohol or gain entry to VIP area. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID! WE WILL BE CHECKING, RE-CHECKING AND CHECKING SOME MORE!

*COVID protocol will be in full effect, anyone entering the event will need to pre-screen prior to entering, A link will be provided at the event.
*Masks are required at all times – exceptions for drinking and eating

How can I get to ROTR?

ROTR will be held at the Hollinger park. It is located in the heart of Timmins where there is a playground, waterpark, baseball field, an area for walking, picnicking, relaxing and ROCKIN’ OUT!

Where do I park?

There is Municipal parking a few blocks from the Hollinger, the parking lot across the street (Food Basics, Park Road Square) are private parking. Please car pool or take advantage of the fall weather and walk!

*No parking is available directly at the venue, no exceptions.

What’s a TFEC?

Timmins Festivals and Events Committee (TFEC) is a non-profit organization, made up of 8 totally awesome, super tired people who wanted to make Timmins a better place by planning fun things for Timmins folks to do. We aim to consistently bringing quality, big name musical entertainment to Timmins in the form of Rock on the River, and hold various fundraisers throughout the year to make that happen.

 What can I bring?

Purses/man purses/European handbags are allowed however are subject to search.

What can’t I bring?

  • No chairs – inflatable or otherwise.
  • No cameras, transmitting or recording devices allowed. Selfies ok.
  • No drugs or paraphernalia allowed on event premises. Patrons that appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted to the event.
  • No bags/backpacks allowed – purses/man purses/European handbags are permitted allowed however are subject to search
  • No outside food or drink will be allowed into the event grounds. Delicious food and drink will be available for purchase during the event.
  • Any object that may be deemed hazardous to other concert goers. Samurai swords, fidget spinners, selfie sticks, etc.
  • No umbrellas – explore the idea of a snazzy poncho.

Can I bring my dog, cat, iguana, etc.?

Sadly, no, unless they are service animals, they are unable to attend.

Awesome! TFEC’s success largely depends on the dedication and tireless efforts of our amazing volunteers!

This is an outdoor show.. so what happens if it’s raining?

With the exception of extreme weather, the show will go on, rain or shine! There is a limited amount of covered seating in our Beer and Northern Roots tents.   We recommend checking the weather forecast and dressing for the weather. If it rains, jazz it up with a snazzy poncho!

What if the show gets cancelled due to extreme weather? Will I get a refund?

In the rare event of extreme weather, every attempt will be made to delay or postpone the show, however if the show has to be cancelled, there is no refund.

Will there be an ATM?

Yes, there will be an ATM on site.

How much are tickets?

Is there a discount on Children’s admission?

Children 12 and under will get in for a small fee ($20) but must be accompanied by an adult who has purchased a ticket for that day.
They do require a physical ticket.
You will be required to pickup a ticket at the festival box office before being allowed to enter.
A Maximum of two (2) discounted tickets per adult for children under 12
**NOTE** All children under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult
There is a limited amount of discounted tickets for children.

What’s included with a VIP ticket?

  • Early entry

  • Covered bleacher seating

 What if I lose my tickets? Can I get a refund?

You can reprint your ticket from the eventbrite website or save the planet and add the eventbrite app to your phone. The original email works just fine as well

 If I have a change in plans can I get a refund?

Sorry, there are no refunds or exchanges. Please treat your tickets like cash.

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?

Please don’t wait.. seriously…. we cannot guarantee there will be tickets available for purchase at the door. We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment and save money!

How can I pay for tickets at the gate?

Should tickets be available for purchase at the door. Cash or Debit will be accepted.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Can I stay on your couch?

No, you may not.

Other important info:

  • By entering the event premises, you voluntarily assume all risk and danger of personal injury and all other hazards arising from or related in any other way to this event, whether occurring prior to, during, or after.
  • Patrons that appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted to the event.
  • All patrons will be searched upon entrance to the event.
  • Smoking is not allowed anywhere on park property, (other than designated smoking area, which will be strictly enforced) according to Ontario laws and will be enforced.
  • This is an All Ages event however VIP area patrons must be 19 years or older.
  • Must have government-issued photo ID to purchase alcohol or gain entry to VIP area.  YOU MUST BRING YOUR ID! WE WILL BE CHECKING, RE-CHECKING AND CHECKING SOME MORE!
  • Event organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. TFEC Volunteers are not permitted to assume responsibility or store personal belongings. No, we will not hold your purse/drink while you pee.
  • No outside food or drink will be allowed into the event grounds. Delicious food and drink will be available for purchase during the event.
  • TFEC reserves the right to refuse admission of any object that may be deemed hazardous to other concert goers. Samurai swords, fidget spinners, selfie sticks, etc.
  • TFEC reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed disorderly, obnoxious or inappropriate. Be cool, man.
  • TFEC will make every attempt to keep the park layout consistent. Saying that, we are not responsible if we are forced to change any layout at the request of an artist, city regulation or otherwise.
